The sumptuous 17th-century building, patrician home to noble families (Balbi, Durazzo, Savoy), preserves the furniture, artworks, and everyday objects dating back to the 17th-19th century. Its halls are home to a rich collection of paintings, including works by many Italian and foreign artists (Van Dyck, Tintoretto, Strozzi) and the Genoese school (Piola, Grechetto, Schiaffino), as well as sculptures by Filippo Parodi.
