Ica

The Ica (1000-1450 A.D.)

The name refers to the different ethnic groups who lived along Peru’s southern coast after the Wari domination (600-1000 A.C.). Ica ceramics are characterized by geometric decorations, usually consisting of diagonal lines painted on squares following a weaving pattern.
